The Ron Paul “Revolution” an Extreme Rightist Threat
Friday, 11 January 2008 09:06
by Steven Argue

For the most part the Iowa caucuses were business as usual for the Democrat and Republican Parties. Among the Democrats, Anti-war and pro-single payer health care Democrat Dennis Kucinich put his support behind pro-war anti-single payer health care, Barrack Obama.

Yet on the far right, anti-war Libertarian and Republican Ron Paul gained a stunning 10% of the vote.

Seeing the failure of the Democrats to deliver a candidate worth supporting; some left leaning individuals have been suggesting support to Ron Paul. One is anti-war Vietnam veteran Stan Goff, who suggested in his January 4, 2008 article "Monkey Wrenching the System, Ron Paul's Revolution" that people vote in the primaries for Ron Paul, switching party registration right away if they live in a state where such a move is necessary to vote in the Republican primaries.

At the root of the Ron Paul "revolution" is the dismantling of Social Security and the Department of Education as well as other basic social programs, and the elimination of worker and environmental protections. Advances like single payer health care? No way. Ron Paul's message is that you need to take care of yourself, and that there shouldn't be such government programs, nor such interference with private profit. While he puts forward reasons for not supporting going to war abroad, his domestic policies would ignite civil war at home.

In addition to pretending he's against all government, he's for outlawing:
- abortion and supports the continued ban on same-sex marriage.
- He was one of the original co-sponsors of the "Marriage Protection Act".
- He's also a religious extremist who thinks that creationism should be taught in the schools.
How "libertarian" are any of these positions? "Liberty" does not include such intimate issues as reproductive choice, not having the government choose who you can be life-partners with & freedom from religion in public schools.

On race, Ron Paul was one of 33 Congress members to vote against the renewal of the voting rights act, which was first passed to give Blacks in the south the right to vote.

On a similar note, he says the Civil Rights Act violates the Constitution and impedes on individual liberties. Speaking of Blacks in Washington DC he states in campaign literature:
"95 percent of African Americans in the USA are semi-criminal or entirely criminal".
No wonder the American Nazi Party has close relations with him (see letter from Nazi Commander Bill White below). In addition, Ron Paul has the support of other white supremacists such as David Duke, and has knowingly taken donations from former KKK Grand Wizard Don Black.

CNN has recently found a series of newsletters in the name of GOP presidential hopeful Ron Paul contain several racist remarks - including one that says order was restored to Los Angeles after the 1992 riots when blacks went "to pick up their welfare checks."

This is a copy of one of the "Ron Paul Political Report" newsletters, which has stirred controversy:

CNN recently obtained the newsletters — written in the 1990s and one from the late 1980s - after a report was published about their existence in The New Republic.

None of the newsletters CNN found says who wrote them, but each was published under Paul's name between his stints as a U.S. congressman from Texas.

Paul told CNN's "The Situation Room" Thursday that he didn't write any of the offensive articles and has "no idea" who did. Right.

American Nazi Party Chief says Ron Paul is one of us

Bill White, commander of the American National Socialist Worker's Party, aka The American Nazi Party, wrote the following on the Nazi Vanguard News Network:

Comrades:

I have kept quiet about the Ron Paul campaign for a while, because I didn't see any need to say anything that would cause any trouble. However, reading the latest release from his campaign spokesman, I am compelled to tell the truth about Ron Paul's extensive involvement in white nationalism.

Both Congressman Paul and his aides REGULARLY MEET with members of the Stormfront set, American Renaissance, the Institute for Historic Review, and others at the Tara Thai restaurant in Arlington, Virginia, usually on Wednesdays. This is part of a dinner that was originally organized by Pat Buchanan, Sam Francis and Joe Sobran, and has since been mostly taken over by the Council of Conservative Citizens.

I have attended these dinners, seen Paul and his aides there, and been invited to his offices in Washington to discuss policy.

For his spokesman to call white racialism "a small ideology" and claim white activists are "wasting their money" trying to influence Paul is ridiculous. Paul is a white nationalist of the Stormfront type who has always kept his racial views and his views about world Judaism quiet because of his political position.

I don't know that it is necessarily good for Paul to 'expose' this. However, he really is someone with extensive ties to white nationalism and for him to deny that in the belief he will be more respectable by denying it is outrageous and I hate seeing people in the press who denounce racialism merely because they think it is not fashionable.

Bill White, Commander
American National Socialist Workers Party
Poor Bill White. He’s having trouble with his brand of racism, anti-Semitism, mass extermination, and genocide not being "in fashion". But hey, you've got to thank the knuckleheaded Nazi for confirming our suspicions on Ron Paul and Pat Buchanan!

Editors’ Note: The Ron Paul Vid-Lash

By The New York Times

A post in The Medium that appeared on Monday about the Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul and his purported adoption by white supremacist and neo-Nazi groups contained several errors. Stormfront, which describes itself as a “white nationalist” Internet community, did not give money to Ron Paul’s presidential campaign; according to Jesse Benton, a spokesman for Paul’s campaign, it was Don Black, the founder of Stormfront, who donated $500 to Paul. The original post also repeated a string of assertions by Bill White, the commander of the American National Socialist Workers Party, including the allegation that Paul meets regularly “with members of the Stormfront set, American Renaissance, the Institute for Historic Review and others” at a restaurant in Arlington, Va. Paul never attended these dinners, according to Benton, who also says that Paul has never knowingly met Bill White. Norman Singleton, a congressional aide in Paul’s office, says that he met Bill White at a dinner gathering of conservatives several years ago, after which Singleton expressed his indignation at the views espoused by White to the organizer of the dinner. The original post should not have been published with these unverified assertions and without any response from Paul.

Proof Ron Paul has NEVER been a racist!
I dare somebody to find any video of Ron Paul EVER that comes from his own lips that say he is a racist at any time EVER. He is not a flip flopper on ANY issue. He is the ONLY candidate in both parties who is fighting against JUDICIAL RACISM in which minorities are put in prison for non-violent use of drugs MUCH more than whites are. If you think Ron Paul is a racist, CONSIDER ME MICKEY MOUSE!

Nazi? No way.
America is a country based on individual freedom correct? That means each person is going to have their own opinions on every topic under the sun. We see this in the polls, the debates, and the votes. Everyone wants something different. The moment you try and make everyone agree on the same idea, you get fighting. I would like to see a world where people can be free to have their own opinions, but are NOT free to be violent against others. That is the libertarian message. Ron Paul has the policy America needs. None of you Paul bashers seem to be able to argue the policy.

- abortion and supports the continued ban on same-sex marriage.

States rights, move somewhere that agrees with you. Then people have a choice. What a concept, why does everyone always want all or none. Government has no place being involved in marriage.

- He was one of the original co-sponsors of the "Marriage Protection Act".

http://www.lewrockwell.com/paul/paul197.html

- He's also a religious extremist who thinks that creationism should be taught in the schools.
He believes in private and homeschooling. So yea if you want to teach that in your home, or send your kid to private school to learn that stuff go for it.

Let stick to the real issues.
I am an ethnic person. I am for Ron Paul, because he is about the truth and nothing else. His breath of his knowledge on economics and government is truly impressive. His views on our foreign policy are spot on and I I agree on his analysis and observations on matters of money and it function or dysfunction at this time. I am happy to allow him to have his beliefs while I have mine which are different on creation for starters. I have always been marginally involved in politics, but now for the first time I find the voice that speaks of my beliefs. I hope this truly is a revolution and one that will survive even if Ron Paul's candidacy doesn't. I know I will do my part.

Well Joe, ain't that just the cry of the persecuted white man? Seems like I see that one thrown around alot in Ron Pauls defense....usually from a Stormfronter.

Face it, Ron Paul is a racist. His racist supporters try to defend him and minimize the significance of decades of close associations with racists and anti-semites.

His voting record is prefect to the Constitution he never voted against the rights and Liberty of the Constitution. That's all that matters. Here-say does mean SHIT!! The people who wrote the original article I believe his name is Jaime Kucrich has no creditability what so ever. And If
RON PAUL was a racist he would have to slip up at least 1 time
in his political career in Congress. Nice try on bashing RON PAUL, but the people with real common sense don't buy the "he a racist" crap. And he's voting record proves that!!!!! Also it amazes me that so much attention is on RON PAUL!! WHY is that?
IF he has no chance at winning the nomination why so many people are make a big deal about him. Why do they exclude him from debates? WHY do they fear him so much?

The New York Times published an article on their blog asserting the same nonsense about the nut from Stormfront. It was debunked and the New York Times retracted and apologized for their story.

The old news letters were hashed over years ago. This is just a smear campaign against a very good man. Ron Paul is not a racist or a Nazi. Once again the pro-neocon bloggers and MSM have proven they have to jump up to touch the bottom of the scummiest tactics to discredit the opposition to their views.

Shame on all of you for misleading the electorate with this trash.

Good to know people have their priorities right. What's a million Iraqi lives (and 5 million displaced) worth faced with such apocalyptic threats? So for this 'socialist' secondary choices take precedence over the fundamental rights of the Iraqis. And then he dares accuse Ron Paul of racism!

For the airheads who I see congratulating this type of arse-dribble, all I can say is why not trade countries with an Iraqis? That way you won't have any laws to worry about. You'll also have the freedom to be blown to smithereens by the same bombs you are so eager not to prevent from dropping on Iraqi heads.

I wonder why none of the 'progressive' candidates -- all save one bought and paid for by the Israel Lobby -- has the principle or conviction of a Ron Paul?

i don't agree with everthing ron paul stands for ,but, the fundamentals are all there.ron paul still speaks "american", he calls for a return to democracy , and the constitution . i don't think he is evil , so therefore he couldn't be the 'lesser' of evils.he is a bit of a mad-hatter , but he speaks of the desire for world peace . even if he never achieves it , we don't have a chance, anyway unless the desire for peace, is first there.

As lovers of individual liberty for ALL individuals, we are attracted to Dr. Paul's consistency, and to his honesty. Anyone can go to the website [www.ronpaul2008.com], click on "ISSUES" and read as much as they want. Dr. Paul has also written scholary books for those who wish to learn more about the situation we are in, as well as discover real solutions to this terrible mess.

Dr. Paul does not categorize people into "groups" as the PC left or, apparently, the hate-filled right now does. Dr. Paul adheres to the priciples of liberty and, as he says so well: "LIBERTY IS THE ANTIDOTE TO RACISM."

If you "get it," then stop being baited by these empty arguments. The status quo does not want change. Accept it and carry on. Post www.ronpaul2008.com. Let those who wish to learn find out for themselves, just as we did.

Peace toward ALL mankind. (was Christmas really just 3 weeks ago?)

Picture of Don Black with Dr. Paul...
Don Black looks like a regular guy, the background appears to be a sports bar or similar (note the guy wearing a baseball shirt/hat). I see no swastikas or any other paraphenalia that would indicate that Don Black was a white supremacist. Do you think he indicated it to Dr. Paul through maybe a secret handshake or something?

Dr. Paul has had his picture taken with thousands of people since this campaign began - do you think he should require everyone to complete an application outlining their personal views before allowing a picture? (go to: http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=ron paul - there are close to 14k pics already)

If the people who are spending so much time and energy attempting to convince us all of how naive we are actually cared about the despicable issue of racism, they wold support Dr. Paul as he is the only candidate to state that he would pardon all non-violent drug offenders sitting in prisons while their families suffer. That's "all" as in ALL.

Frankly, I could care less whether Dr. Paul is the living incarnation of Christ on earth or the goose-stepping Nazi you wish to label him as. What matters to me is that he will stop our shameful acts of foreign aggression, block attempts by the government to further diminish our personal rights, and reign in our extravagant doling out of cash (the cash WE have to work for) to whatever country we need a favor from.

Why the War on Drugs?
As an attorney I believe the correct name for the War on Drugs should be the War on the Constitution, especially the Fourth Amendment. Philosophically just laws should protect an individual's right to their life, liberty and property. The mere possession of a substance does not violate the rights of any other individual and therefore should not be criminalize. The propaganda machines have brainwashed most people into thinking that the government should control what individuals do with their own body, that the collective should determine individual behavior. The Constitution rejects that philosophy as doe its champion, Dr. Paul. First read the Constitution, (many of you have not) the Federal Government does not have jurisdiction. Prohibition required a Constitutional Amendment. Americans were not as dumbed down back then and knew a ban on liquor was not within the power of the Federal Government. Second, read the Bill of Rights the War on Drugs has caused the biggest usurpation of this right to be free from unreasonable search and seizure then any other issue up until the War on Terror which ended any rights we had left. I ask this question, why have we created laws that have imprisoned so many non violent inmates? My answer to that is that the people do not have a voice in our government anymore, we are controlled by corporate fascist. We are housing these non violent inmates, who have not harmed the life, liberty, or property of another so that they can be used by corporations as SLAVE LABOR in prison factories. Do not try to label me a "conspiracy theorist". These are facts in existence. These injustices do not occur by accident. Ron Paul is the only candidate that belongs to the people and not the fascist bankers and corporations that are hell bent on enslaving us all. Wake up America, there are reason for this attempt at character assassination and the reasons is that the despots do not want us freed. Dr. Paul message of liberty must not be stopped!

Argue is just playing into the hands of the divide and conquer crowd.

Shameless that a writer would be carelessly throwing around the race card at a time when US hegemons have pursued policies in Iraq that have resulted in genocide on a scale not seen since WWII. Remember when Madeleine Albright, Clinton's Secretary of State, told Leslie Stahl in a 60 Minutes interview that the austere sanctions imposed on Iraq resulting in the deaths of over 500,000 children "were worth it"? Argue needs to get some perspective.
