Dear Barack: So Much For Camelot
Sunday, 15 June 2008 00:45
by Tom Chartier

Thanks a lot Barack old chum. You sold out to AIPAC and the Israel Lobby at the expense of the country you seek to lead. You stood confidently before an AIPAC gathering and told them exactly what they wanted to hear.
“As president I will use all elements of American power to pressure Iran,” you said.  “I will do everything in my power to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. Everything in my power to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. Everything.”
I take it Nuclear Armageddon of Iran to make Israel happy will be on the Obama table. What about disarming the Israeli nuclear weapons?

What a gladiatorial declaration to AIPAC you have made. But it’s old news now. I had to sit on it for more than a week to let it soak in. You, Barack, sold out America in your quest to become the next Democratic Dictator. Disappointed I am. Surprised I am not.

Known and very popular cialis coupon which gives all the chance to receive a discount for a preparation which has to be available and exactly cialis coupons has been found in the distant room of this big house about which wood-grouses in the houses tell.

I must assume you never found the time to read John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt’s book: The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy? Or maybe you did. In today’s America no serious candidate for president dares cross the Israel Lobby.

You dragged out the same old propaganda; Iran seeks nuclear weapons (contrary to the most recent NIE report), Iran denies the Holocaust (a tactless publicity stunt by Ahmadinejad) and Iran vows to “wipe Israel off the map” (a deliberate mistranslation). Where have we heard this garbage before? Don’t tell me you don’t know.

Sure, you proceeded to make a strong case for… diplomacy. I hope you meant that part. However, that robust speech before AIPAC has seriously damaged your diplomatic credibility in the Middle East. Good luck. Should you be elected even after this blunder, you’ll need it.

Let me tell you something Barack old buddy; a fair number of concerned Americans are wising up. They are tired of the disastrous Bush regime and are beginning to connect the dots.

We have been played for as fools, not just by the Bush/Chaney Empire but also by our “friend” Israel and the Neocon think tanks closely tied to the Israel Lobby. And surprise, surprise… we’re sick and tired of it! You were our last hope.

What you’ve just done is not only kowtow to the Israel lobby, shock and anger much of the sane world but you, in one speech, have quite possibly dealt the death blow to the democratic republic known as the United States of America… as well as any chance for any sort of peace in the Middle East.

George W. Bush whom you pretend to disagree with destroyed the republic. And now you may have destroyed the democracy. Why should any of us bother to vote now? As usual in American presidential elections we are offered a choice between the lesser of two evils, not a choice between the two best qualified. History has proven time and again Americans are excellent at choosing the worse possible candidate. It looks like we have two real stinkers again.

Our choices are now narrowed down to the Neocon John McCain, who will proceed in the footsteps of the worst president America has ever had, George W. Bush or you, Barack Obama another two-bit, slime coated politician who will kiss the ass of those who pull the strings of power… rather than stand up for integrity and the American public. I guess, winning isn’t the only thing, it’s everything.

How can any, knowledgeable American have any faith whatsoever in our system after that speech of yours before AIPAC? I guess you’ve proven my point that anyone actually qualified for the title President of the United States doesn’t stand a chance.

So with this shamefully bone-headed speech of yours, those who would have supported you in favor of John McCain will now abstain from voting. As a result, McCain will probably win. God help us all. What’s the point? Why not declare the United States a colony of Israel and let the Israelis decide who shall be our “leader?”

Ok, Barack… despite all this you still get my vote. I refuse to give in to cynical fatalism. A vote for McCain or an abstention is a vote for Armageddon. You are still the lesser of two evils. You still have the chance to start the U.S. back on the right track. But mark my words; you are on shaky grounds. Your credibility is in serious doubt worldwide and should you win… by some miracle… from now on, you will be watched like a hawk.

So much for Camelot.

Barack: So Much For Camelot
The degradation of the American Commons is here, up front, before our very eyes: three dolls were put on the stage for the Commons to make A Choice for the NEXT President of the United States:
one was worse than another. We ( The Commons) knew that from the very first moment when we were allowed to enter the game's room , where The Wheel Of (our hopes/dreams/life) Fortune was turning just the SAME AS IT WAS PROGRAMED centuries before.
The entertainment amused us: this time there were "choices"smilies/shocked.gifne - a female, one- a black ( NOT African-American but a cloraxed copy of it) , one-an aged moron ( too close to memories of the presently acting one). A Female, thanks God, at finally was thrown from The Wheel. Two others
doubled efforts and The Wheel Of Fortune moved faster.
It is NOT short of the Tragedy: the American population is speeding for the election of the next, (NEW?) President of The United States!
THE YOUNG American GENERATION puts all its eggs in the basquet of Mr. "yes, we can!" - Obama.
Given that the young generation of the American Commons are ill-literal, the Obama's puppeteer, such as the old and shrewd Zbig Brzezinsky, has counted just on that!
Two , consequently serving, Sectraties of the United States, Powell and Rice DID NOT FRIGHTEN THEM ENOUGH.
Do they know the great Harry Bellafonte definition of Powell as "The House Slave"? Do they know WHAT DOES IT MEAN? Of course, they don't: they do not read and can not listen anymore anything longer than "yes, we can!" hook line.
Who educate them? Where is that Educator, who could take the evil shrewdness of Brzezinsky on and EXPLAIN to the young generation of the American Commons that "THE HOUSE SLAVE WILL OBEY and KILL FOR THE PRIVILEDGE TO SERVE TO THE MASTER with even greater enthusiasm than the Master's own children?
Today, we, The Commons of America, demonstrate the total and un-conditional surrender and submission to the VERDICT, LONG IN MAKING FOR US: slaves.

The idealist/altruist solution id not for us. Otherwise...otherwise THIS TRAGIC FARCIAL ELECTIONS WOULD BE BOYCOTED BY ALL THE HEALTHY NATION.
And if ( and when) the whole country stood still, then THE REAL CHANGE comes as the reward from God.

It remains to be seen whether we have another Bill Clinton in Obama. Clinton was a corporatist who did everything for capitalism run amok and great harm to the rest of us (NAFTA, welfare "reform" on the backs of the most vulnerable, betraying women time after time, the buddy of every rich greed merchant). I'm hearing that Obama also supports "free" trade. If so, we should have supported either Kucinich or Edwards. However, it's Obama we've got, and we will have to deal with him as forcefully as necessary. In any case, he isn't another Corporatist Clinton or McCain, who by now surely needs no tags except perhaps: Dishonest John. It's going to take a lot of citizen involvement to help turn toward what is needed by everyone who works for a living: socialism. The powers that be, across the globe, have no intention of allowing actual democracy anywhere, let alone any form of socialism. Socialism is government that works for the social good; Capitalism is government that works only for the rich. Every other major nation incorporates socialist principles into their government, as we used to before the neocons got busy. And they were damned good; brainwashed an entire population and handed everything to capitalist parasites who live off the labor of others (the rest of us). At least we have a candidate who has actually worked on behalf of working people, the poor, the needy. Let's work with that.

Well said! No one can be elected president here till he helicopters over Israel, makes all the promises you mention--and more! America is no longer the Country of my youth. It now seems to be just a business (and mercenary military) center under control of the moneyed interests on Wall Street, in Israel and the U.S. Likud branch: neoconservatives. But McCain is even closer to this control with Liberman and Phil Gramm as key advisors.

Hi Tom,
I really like your story. It upset me too especially when he said he would give them 30 billion over the next 10 years.
I am sending your story to my son Jamison who lives in Minnesota plus I am sending you a video from him about McCain.

The demise of America.
Hello Tom,
Nobody will change the American "democratic" capitalistic system. Will Obama repeal the Patriot Act
or the Military Commissions Act?? America now has become the only Western nation where torture is allowed, where the habeas corpus is suspended!
Will Obama "change" all that? No sir! But not to worry, McCain or Bush will your next president.
All the best, Joop.

The Real Obama?
Tom, you did a great job of decribing one of the hardest gut-kicks any of us has experienced in our politically conscious lives. And it hurts all the worse because, like Tom, many of us are going to vote for Obama anyway, given the alternative.

I guess we should be grateful that we have a candidate that will sell us out only to the Israel lobby. The other candidate was bought and sold by that bunch long before he entered his first primary, and is willing to continue selling us out to the whole military/industrial/government complex--which, in the end, is the same as selling us out to the so-called terrorists.

Hi Tom,
I do understand the comlex situation that you have with Israel, but I just wish that America and it's presidents would concentrate more on your domestic problems(there are plenty) and stop meddeling in foreign affairs!
Take a step back from the world scene and I think that you will find that we will do just fine. I don't envy your selection of canditates and wish you all good luck!
